my new uke

I went to the shop looking for a $30 uke. After I saw some very nice $319 ones, the $30 model wasn't ever going to happen. This one cost me $60.

  1. Oh, you have to meet Anika's Dad. He's crazy for ukes. Even written a book...

  2. Definitely worth paying more. I bought a $20 one and then after falling fully in love I bought myself a $150 one because it sounds great and stays in tune - which the cheap ones don't, really.

  3. Ditto Wendy. Hubby will want to know what type it is?

  4. This is very good news -- you might find information here http://reyalpeleluku.wordpress.com/2009/11/07/the-ukulele-standard-of-1927/
of use (most cheaper ukes can do with a little adjusting.) All the best with it.

  6. Looks very tropical against the background of the red shirt too. Almost like it's sitting on a hibiscus flower?

  7. Laetitia, I'd have yours as well if you wanted to get rid of it. We're all fighting over this one.

  8. Awesome! Do you want a 'Ukes not Nukes' t-shirt to match the ones Naomi & I have?

  10. Cool. I have the same Mahalo. i love the little chordbook that comes with it, that has the funny little pictures.

I have found the most satisfying song to play, that sounds nice, is Home On The Range.
