...ripping off a Phil Collins meter is a dumb thing to do and makes for a stupid song.

    I'm afraid I find it difficult to believe that a Phil Collins metre is inherently less likely to lead to a good song than the 'Be Thou My Vision' metre.

    I guess writing any song with 'goovy kind of love' stuck in your head could be a serious problem though.
