My desk

Ali tagged me in this desk photo thing.  You have to take a picture of your workspace and post it.

Mine, as you can see, is a total mess.

A few things to notice:

1. Shoes under the desk.

2. Kids' gifts on the wall

3. And a few books (Ali- including one of my new Sophie Hannah's.)

Now I tag Nathan and Al.**  Don't worry if I didn't pick you!  Wait patiently and you will get a go.

[** Come on guys, you can do this!]

  1. I can. And I will. On Monday.

How do you get anything done? Is your brain like your workspace?

  2. I don't handle mess in the rest of the house, but my desk is always bad. Is my brain like that? Probably not, because I do get a lot done.

  3. mmm, and that pile of books on top of the computer looks a lot more intellectual than the pile of kids computer games that normally lives there. Better clean up my desk in case anyone tags me!

  4. Andrew - the computer games are on the other side - see? On the printer that still needs fixing!

  5. My desk is currently all packed up. Will my work desk do?

  6. The question is, do you know where to locate everything that is in the mess on your desk? My desk is usually messy (the result of having a number of tasks on the go at the same time), but I can locate what I want, when I want it - call it ordered chaos!

  7. My desk chaos comes from not having much room and from being really bad at organising paper. If I need to deal with it, it's best that it arrives in an email. My documents are very well ordered. If things are on my computer's desktop, I will never lose them. My wooden desktop? Probably.

  8. I might have to post mine tomorrow. I've forgotten my camera today. Here's a link to what my work desk used to look like when I was working out of the kitchen at home.

  9. Hey, I actually don't think it looks too bad. I might, just a teeny bit, have straightened up some of the disarray on mine, in that left hand pile. I like your book selection! I've had my eye on Pessimism for Beginners, and you have inspired me to go and dig out Bruce Smith also.
