I bought this from the UK before realising it would be shown here on ad-free ABC. I enjoyed Torchwood and the Sarah Jane Adventures for that matter more than Dr. Who in the last couple of years. Children of Earth is faultless television, the only thing that made me not watch it all on one sitting was having to sleep for work. Brilliant characterisation and actually gets more horrific with each episode... enjoy.
PS The gay scenes don't worry me really, they seem more "reflection of reality" rather than OTT "evangelical gayness" (I don't think RTD has a gay agenda). Much like Tosh and Eve's "dalliance" in the first season... funnily enough, I was having dinner last night in the Valley with a bisexual friend, but even she felt the elderly middle aged gay couple at the next table all over each was a bit much... so maybe I'm desensitised?
Been hanging about all day waiting for an update here. Can you tell me what "the 456" is?
ReplyDeletean alien. Torchwood. Brilliant. (Except for the gayness.)
ReplyDeleteFound myself in front of the TV watching Torchwood for the first time last night - and suddenly realised what your '456' post meant! Very gripping...
