Don't know if I'll keep the 'like' widget. I think I'll get rid of the second two options and just give people the option to tick 'like'. If you don't like something (including the widget) you should leave a comment to tell me.
My issue with it is that it looks a little messy at the bottom of the post.
What do you think?
Fussy, fussy...but another option is to sign into Google Reader and just put your own feed in. That way you can see when people using Google Reader "like" a post. Then post telling people that you're now watching them through Google Reader, so if they have reader, they should "like" away...
ReplyDeleteAnd, in Google Reader, you can see *who* liked it...as per your comment on "like function".
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to set up the reader thing. Struggling a bit. The page looks so busy and ugly. If I can get it looking nice I might want to use it.
ReplyDeleteI've put my own feed into my reader. I've made it public. What do I do now?
Well, have a look at this post within the Google Reader. At the top, you can see that one person has liked it. If you want to see who it was, click on the light blue text. It will say that "a_q" liked it. (No prizes for guessing who that is.) So, basically, you can click on individual posts and see whether people have liked them or not. Once you get the hang of Google Reader, it's pretty easy to flick through posts and see if people like them.
ReplyDeletekeep it. a little bloglove is better than none at all.
