Today I ran about 3.8kms. I took the car in to the smash repairers to be fixed and thought I'd jog the 4.5kms home.

My injured foot coped very well, but I had to stop and walk because my orthotics had rubbed the arches of my feet raw. And I had thick socks on!

Frustrating! I almost made it.

  1. Ouch! Thick socks can sometimes make it worse not better. It's actually worth investing in a specialist pair of running socks. They may cost $25-30, but the lack of blisters make them worth it. I recently ran a half marathon in a Nike pair with no blisters :)
