Karen - send Ali some money and she might send you the post!
Anon - so glad you love my blog. I'd love to spill and tell you all about my frustrations. I can't really. Sorry for the confusion. Let's just say my hassles are work related and involve the words 'Must', 'Recorder' and 'Boring method book'. I would prefer phrases like 'outcomes based', 'student engagement' and 'teach any way you want'.
Compulsory recorder from a book...blah. I can see why you're feeling hassled. I like your phrases much better. Those are the ones I go for in my workplace as well, but sadly it is often very hard to find like-minded people there.
And I think I will continue to live in blissful introverted ignorance of what I need(ed?) to know. Or maybe you could share them again sometime when you've had a chance to think about it more and you're feeling less frustrated?
Oh... The being told what, when, and how to teach thing. A struggle I am familiar with. It's a real shame with a subject like Music. Probably intimidated by you - the young, creative teacher who put on a roof-blowing musical!
Ah, I should teach you how to delete posts from google reader, because I still have it :) ...
ReplyDeleteOh well...
ReplyDeleteYou could sell my deleted posts for lots of money.
I love this blog, but it is a bit confusing today...
ReplyDeleteWish I had seen it....I am an introvert so maybe I needed to know about those 5 things?? Or maybe not....
