  1. I think I'd need to hear the context to respond - i can certainly say - yes, that is often the case, but what does he mean by criticize? And is he saying that is always a negative thing? If a villager in the Sudan says 'that warlord killed my family and he was wrong to do so' that criticism in order to justify the speaker. Is it wrong? As I say, I would need to hear more before responding - I am wary of discussions of forgiveness that try to downplay wrong-doing and the appropriateness of calling for justice when evil has been done so don't want to read my own hang-ups into this comment.
