I sang this psalm with my family-in-law at the wedding on Saturday morning. What a great thing to believe.
Psalm 121
A song of ascents.
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
This is the exact Psalm the Keith Birchley preached on at our wedding 6 year ago (our anniversary was the 1st of Feb)
ReplyDeleteAndrew told me this morning that he was humming that psalm to himself all Saturday evening "like a veritable Baptist". :)
ReplyDeleteHope you guys are feeling a bit better today - especially Joel.
Yeah. We're good. You over the coffee yet?
ReplyDeleteMel - 6 whole years? Wow!
I love Sons of Korah's version of that one.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a bad experience with the fires - sorry to hear it and I hope you are all recovering.
Have you got any wedding pics?!
