pet-peeve

Just about everything is annoying me right now.

  1. Re: your comment on my status. Try me. I've got no doubt I can trump you on this one. Unless it's the same thing. A media release from the Westboro Baptist Church regarding the bushfires.

  2. I'm afraid that I'm more trivial in my annoyances. WBC is stupid. Clearly.

But so are people who keep offering me condescending advice on how I should live, mother, build my church, pick my nose... I don't care what your guru tells you. Listening to him/her does not make you a church planting expert. So be quiet. If you've been married for 6 months, hold off giving me advice on how I can submit to my husband. You don't have a clue. If you have one perfect angel 3 year old don't write a parenting blog.

You get the picture. I'm annoyed.

[And yet I keep on reading.]

  3. Oh, I can so totally relate to those peeves.

Except that half of them are irrelevant to me - I'm not a wife, parent, or church planter (yet) and I don't respect anyone enough to call them a "guru"... Ok, so that's all of them.

But, yeah. I find quasi-experts using their blogs as a platform quite annoying. That's why I write about stuff I know and quote actual experts, and post so much "trivia"...

Today I read far too many things written by atheists and stupid intolerant "Christians". They all made me mad.

  4. Also, on the WBC thing, yes. They're clearly stupid. But I think it's worse than that. Danny Nalliah was annoying enough, but at least it was his country he was commentating on. And he did name and claim his dream back in November - I read that today and probably should post a correction on my post about him.

But, it was pretty obvious that there'd be fires this year based on the never ending drought.

The WBC thing is a few steps worse and is completely unfathomable and has no link to scripture whatsoever.

  7. I wrote about parenting just then, next stop: writing about my guru.
