When we first moved here and we were a one car family, I used to catch the bus from Coolangatta to Southport four days a week for work (thank goodness that only lasted for six months until we bought the second car). I used to find the hygienic feeling related directly to the number of people on the bus (more people = less hygienic) and what the seat upholstery looked like...
But everyone on it seemed to be snotty and coughy. And there was this guy to whom I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt... Until he opened his mouth and made it impossible. F'ing this and f'ing that...
I just watched a clip featuring Weird Al Yankovic's "Another One Rides the Bus" on youtube and I thought of you - my memory of buses is fading... surely it wasn't that bad?

ReplyDeleteThe thing was, the bus was nearly empty.

I totally agree. My Dad is a school bus driver and has never been as sick before as he has since he's taken this job on.
ReplyDeleteI think Primary schools are just as unhygienic.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my world.
ReplyDeletePs- the horse and carriage await you in the grounds, m'lady.
You should see the back seat of our Camry. I'm too scared to take the car seats out.
