I've been doing it most nights for a long time now.

It's getting increasingly expensive, increasingly time consuming and I'm sick of it.

I don't want to do it any more.

Can I stop?

I'd be willing to also stop eating dinner if that's what it cost.

  1. I will agree that cooking meals is becoming increasingly expensive - I'm finding it very hard to stick to our budget and getting enough items to cook with for the week.

Don't know if it will help, but there has been a little bit of a discussion over on Nicole's blog about meal planning.

  2. I don't want to plan. I don't want to do it at all!

[this is me throwing a tantrum.]

  3. Get Andrew a cook book. I can suggest one.

  4. Which one? It's his birthday soon.

    Easy recipes. Lots of choices.

  6. I'm with you. Right from the planning (or not planning) to buying, cooking, cleaning up, storing left-overs. Creativity can only stretch so far. Those times when you feel particularly domestic and ..specific about what you want.. are fine -- but just everyday meals? Blah.

  7. You could always... teach your kids to cook! Ha ha, I hope you have more success than I have had with mine:"Mum, help! I forgot to put the water in the two minute noodles!"

  8. Fasting.

(It's cheap, quick and it's even Biblical...)

  9. I must say, if I plan, I really enjoy cooking, if I don't plan, I hate it. But yes, are you exposing your boys to enough Masterchef?
