pies

I was booked to work this morning, but it was cancelled at the last minute.  So with my bonus couple of hours I did the shopping, loaded the slow cooker for pumpkin soup, and made 3 pies.  I got a bit carried away with left over pastry.

  1. I'm somewhat disturbed by all those figures worshipping the sun god Ra in that second one :)

  2. Way too creative.

And back to the slow cooker. "load"? You load those babies?

  3. I like Al's snide slow cooker remarks. I am pro-slow cooker, but even more pro snide comment.

The pies look awesome. What do the hyroglyphics actually say?

  4. re: slow cooker. Yep, you load 'em up!

The letters are the initials of all the people in the family I made that pie for - R, A, T, W, J, D. I think it will impress the kids. Might even make them want to eat it.

  7. Al, we can be like those two old blokes on the Muppets.

Simone, tidy work. I also reckon you could take that crust off and spin it hither and thither to contact the dead.
