And now I have a headache.
I've been using it as an alternative to sleep for the last week. But now we've run out and I've decided not to buy any more.
I'm feeling snappy and foul and it's my own fault. The headache is my punishment.
Andrew is making me have panadol as a way of serving those around me. I'd prefer to just sit it out.
Something I have found helpful is to limit myself to two caffeinated drinks per week (excluding tea, because I don't enjoy it, am forced to be a social drinker of it once a fortnight or so and it's not that caffeinated anyway). I have been on this regime for six weeks now. It's effectively meant that I haven't had coffee for about six weeks, because I like my cold drinks too much.
ReplyDeleteBenefits? When I have coke, I appreciate it more...and it wakes me up more than it used to. And no more headaches.
Downsides? It was fine until I sat down this morning and looked at all the assignments I have to do and I started craving the Aldi cola I used to use to get through this sort of thing...
But I seriously like that idea about serving others through panadol. Or not. Do you think I could stretch that to say that I should serve others (including my lecturers?) through giving up the regime in order to finish my assignments?
I thought I liked Coke Zero almost as much as Pepsi Max. But then I made the mistake of buying a box of Coke Zero.
ReplyDeleteI now know that Pepsi Max is definitely my favourite. Only 3 cans to go. But it has lasted much longer because I'm not drinking it as quikcly. Maybe it's a good budgeting tip??
Maybe you should change to Coke Zero, Simon.
Sorry, Simone. Typo
ReplyDeleteCoke Zero isn't nearly as addictive because it's got half the caffeine and a much worse taste. So maybe I should switch.
ReplyDeleteAnika - If you have a big assignment week, then it might be worth relaxing the regime. Or you could consider it being loving to others if you hand in worse work so theirs appears better...
I have the caffeine down to a fine art. Two caffeinated drinks a day and I'm fine, as long as I have none before morning tea. I grind my own coffee, including decaf and mix my grounds - so I often have my coffee with half the caffeine. No headaches for weeks!
