I thought you loved washing (I refuse to call it laundry, I am not American! Have some pride Simone!). According to choice magazine, dishwashers are the most frequently broken down appliance. We are about to buy one. One of my fingers is covered in blisters from washing up. We can't decide whether to buy a cheap one or an expensive one.
We bought middle of the road and it lasted 25 months. I don't mind washing up dishes, so haven't had it fixed yet. But after 4 months, washing up is getting old.
Re 5: Heidegger thinks 'das Man' ("one" as in "what one does") is the very devil; but also part of the basis of intelligibility - we depend on others understanding things to feel confident of our own understanding and that seems to be right (e.g. http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2010/04/copycat-avatars-prevail/). So caring more than other people about something involves believing you understand it better than them, which is difficult to maintain, especially in your peer group. Fine blogging - I salute your work in this list. Caring more than others is heroic. Up you go.
