Yep, Never Alone. It's a bit of a favourite around here. I had to convince the pianist that on Good Friday we needed to be a little bit slower than if we'd sung it on Sunday. I used to feel a bit self-conscious about telling pianists and musos about this sort of thing, but it's amazing how many of them don't seem to actually sing the vocals at volume to get a sense of how the pace they choose actually works with the lyrical structure of each song.
you too.
ReplyDeleteClosed the service with your song this morning.
Never Alone?
DeleteWe finished our service with Never Alone today! We're now doing a guitar/bass/drums version with no piano involved, it sounds very good :)
