Next summer - it takes about a year for a banana plant to grow to productive maturity.
We have local farms that grow ladyfinger bananas, so this week I have finally started buying them again from the local fruit and veg shops that gets stock locally. Only $4.99 a kilo. And after many banana-less months, they taste amazing....
