If, at the end of each day, your child's hair stinks, despite having been washed the previous night, check his school bag for a rotten apple. A decomposing apple in the section of his bag where he stores his hat will result in yucky smelling hair.
On the bright side, I guess that means that the hat gets consistently stored where it is meant to be, rather than making regular visits to the lost property box.
Now, the question that interests me: if you were to use apple-scented shampoo on said head, would that be more effective or less effective because of its similarity to the source of the stink?
My middle son seems to sweat tremendously. He could wash his hair every night and still have smelly hair. Problem is, he hates washing his hair. Can't wait until he is a teenager.

It resulted in a very strange smell. I was starting to wonder if there was something wrong with him...
ReplyDeleteOur kids now have to buy their own school hats. That has made a difference. After I had bought my 10th hat for the year, I drew a line.
Wow, I wouldn't have lasted 10 hats!

Ok, now to make him buy the apples too!
